And I’m absolutely confident that if we stay on this course, we can deliver a better and brighter future for both the Cuban people and the American people.” This is the end of Obama’s speech held in Cuba on 21st March 2016. He left cubans suspended between a past which still dominates their life and a future which is a dream. Nothing is changing at the moment but their eyes show they do believe one day they will be able to step into the outside world, freely.

Out there, through your camera eye, you come across the most intimate form of communion with the people you meet. It’s like a sort of flashes of states of mind, emotions and gestures that you capture and make yours with a personal interpretation. These are some of the “slices of life” I found in New York, exciting city, but so hard to live in when you don’t have means and energy enough to cope with.
